The College of Animal Physiotherapy

Equine Sports Massage

  • Equine Sports Massage is the application of recognised massage techniques, adapted to be used on the horse for the purpose of increasing circulation, range of movement and improving overall health and performance.  Massage is one of the oldest and most effective forms of treatment.  It helps to reduce the chances of injury and speed up the healing process when injury has occurred.
  • Massage is beneficial to all equines, from the family pony to top quality competitive horses.  All will benefit and improve from a correctly applied massage.
  • This is a comprehensive, professional course studying massage and stretching techniques.  Successful students will be awarded The College of Animal Physiotherapy's Certification in Equine Sports Massage and will be granted membership of IAAT in the animal massage section. The course will be an advantage when applying for or done alongside the TCAP diploma
  • The course provides the foundation and understanding required to enable the successful graduate to practise within the equine industry as a professional equine masseuse.
