TCAP is an established vocational training provider for individuals with animal related skills, and offers a route to professional qualification for students from a wide range of backgrounds.
We provide vocational training for students and professionals eager to build their skills in animal massage, animal rehabilitation and animal physiotherapy.
We believe education should be open to all. Our pathways to professional practice run from Level 4 equivalent through to Level 6 equivalent, and are designed to be undertaken part-time.
Full-time study isn’t for everyone, so by providing a flexible, vocational alternative, many more students can realise long-held ambitions in the field of animal massage and physiotherapy.
Our values stand us apart. We are:
A combination of self-paced, distance learning and hands-on practical training, means you can learn when you want, to fit around work and family life.
Our team delivers practical training in supportive small-group environments, providing a safe space to share experiences with fellow students.
Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds: our doors are open to ambitious learners everywhere who are keen to make a career change.
With over 25 years experience in delivering animal therapy training, our training courses have stood the test of time.
Accessible: No prior training in human physiotherapy is required to apply for our Level 6 equivalent diploma in animal physiotherapy. For level 4 and 5 equivalent courses, passion, commitment and practical work experience with equines/canines is the priority.
Flexible: Learn at your own pace, accessing course content through our dedicated virtual learning environment (VLE). With a published schedule of practical training days, you can plan your hands-on learning to suit your personal study programme.
Confidence building: TCAP practical days are a great way to apply your learning and get ‘hands-on’. Tuition is provided by TCAP trainers with many years’ experience, and supportive small group sessions provide a safe space to learn. We want you to enter professional practice with confidence.
Choice: With a wide range of courses available at Level 4, 5 and 6 equivalent, students can choose the appropriate learning pathway for them.
International: We train individuals from all over the world - with separate programmes for students training from outside the UK.
Life as an Animal Physiotherapist involves working under veterinary referral to provide treatment and rehabilitation for animals. Animal Physiotherapy is an exciting and rewarding career. The most essential requirement is that you have a natural affinity with animals.
